Crescent Builds is a Seattle based design/build company owned and operated by a dynamo husband and wife team and Seattle natives, August Bergdahl and Emilee Birrell. They have been providing quality building and remodeling solutions for residential and boutique commercial clients since 2006. 

Jim Friesz has been collaborating with Crescent Builds on both commercial and residential projects since 2010 including Olson Kundig projects 1115 E. Pike, 1111 E. Pike, 10th Avenue Commercial Storefront and as Co-Owner of Mutuus Studio projects including Ella’s Garden Shed, The Magnolia Residence, and The Broadview Residence.

The Crescent Builds current headquarters was completed in 2020.  The design transformed a 3,300 square foot 1958 Mid-Century Office building into Mixed Use Commercial Contractor’s Office/Shop with two residential apartment units in a growing urban neighborhood. The completed remodel included structural seismic retrofit, new windows, fire sprinklers, energy performance upgrades and acoustic retrofits that bring the project into the new century.
