Founded on the principle that great architecture emerges from deep collaboration, Friesz Architects creates thoughtful, site-specific designs throughout the Pacific Northwest.

ABOUT

What We Design

Our most recent project work has been residential homes and community based commercial projects like restaurants, cafes, workspaces, and spas. Our design philosophy and process, translates to other typologies.  We have and may again design everything from garden sheds to museums and libraries.

Friesz Architects Design Process Experience with You

  1. We listen first. Throughout the design process we get to really understand your needs, wants and inspirations to create a place that is uniquely yours. We have done this many times before.  From start to finish, we will be with you.

  2. You have to dream. Before we solve all the technical challenges, we explore your needs and find your inspirations in sketches, renderings, and 3-BIM modeling to visualize your one-of-a-kind vision. We’ll ask you to collect images and any imaginable artistic inspiration to find your unique artistic style.

  3. Building is a major investment. From decades of collaboration with builders, we know how to balance cost quality and quantity. We prefer to team with a builder partner as early as possible to keep an on going forecast of project cost.

  4. Architecture is our life’s work. We have spent years learning, practicing, and refining our craft to create beautiful, efficient, and uniquely resolved places.

  5. We value our residential and commercial crossover experience.  Many residential solutions have their roots in commercial design and vice versa.

  6. Navigating permit regulations and approvals can be complex. We handle the permitting process and work directly with the authorities to keep your project moving.

  7. We love being in the field. We always find inspiration with collaboration with our amazingly skilled trades and builder partners.
